There is no one-size-fits-all solution for alcohol use disorder (AUD). A certain addiction treatment program may work for someone but may not necessarily work for another person. The next thing we need to do is strike 12-Step programs from the treatment modalities of medical professionals. No other medical condition exists where, if the treatment doesn’t work effectively, the patient is blamed. Alcoholism, on the other hand, refers to alcohol use disorder.
